3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking – Gorilla Safaris
This covers Gorilla tracking, golden monkey tracking and Ibyi’wachu cultural village. Gorillas and golden monkeys are endangered.
Day 1: Arrival, city tour – Ruhengeri
Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking- Ibyi’wachu cultural Village
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Departure.
Day 1: Arrival, city tour – Ruhengeri
Our guide will pick you from your hotel or airport and visit the Gisozi genocide memorial, craft shop and local market. After you will continue to Nyamata and Ntarama genocide memorials. These two churches will give you a clear picture of what happened in in 1994, Have lunch in Kigali. After the guide will drive you to Ruhengeri the home of gorillas, on the way; enjoy the escalading beautiful rolling hills. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhabura. Meal plan: Half board
Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking- Ibyi’wachu cultural Village
Rise early and transfer to the park; complete the required Gorilla Tracking formalities and head for gorilla trekking in Parc national des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas can sometimes be hectic but we often use an advance team to spot the location of Gorillas and you head strait to have a close look at these gentle giants. The experience is a life time to stand before the silver back which 3 times heavier that a normal man. After relaxing and lunch, the guide will drive you and visit the Ibyi’wachu cultural Village, they perform cultural dance, the Intore dance, songs, demonstrate hunting, King ship and others. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhabura.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Departure.
In the morning, after breakfast, you will re-enter the same forest in such for another endangered species, the golden monkeys. This is also another experience as you enjoy them jumping around the tree tops, they are habituated and the trek is not so tire some like that of gorillas. After, the guide will drive you back to Kigali for your flight back home.
