Detailed 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari with Primate Safaris

Day 1: Kigali  city tour – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

The Safari guide will pick you from your hotel or airport and visit the Gisozi genocide memorial, craft shop and local market. After you will continue to Nyamata and Ntarama genocide memorials. These two churches will give you a clear picture of what happened in in 1994, Have relaxed hot meal (lunch) in Kigali the capital City of Rwanda.

After the Safari guide will transfer to Volcanoes National Park , the home of Mountain gorillas, on the way; enjoy the escalading beautiful rolling hills. Dinner and overnight at Five Volcanoes Lodge / Bishop House/ Virunga Lodge.

Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking- Gorilla Guardian Village

Rise early and transfer to the park; complete the required Gorilla Tracking formalities and head for gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. Gorilla Trekking is considered as an active activity that involves walking & hikes ( How hard is gorilla trekking)  but we often use an advance team to spot the location of Gorillas and you head strait to have a close look at these gentle giants. The experience is a life time to stand before the silver back which 3 times heavier that a normal man. After relaxing and lunch, the guide will drive you and visit the Gorilla Guardian Village, they perform cultural dance, the Intore dance, songs, demonstrate hunting, King ship and others. Dinner and overnight at  Five Volcanoes Lodge / Bishop House/ Virunga Lodge.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking and Departure.

After breakfast, you will re-enter the same forest in such for another endangered species, the golden monkeys. This is also another experience as you enjoy them jumping around the tree tops, they are habituated and the trek is not so tire some like that of gorilla trekking. After you will go for hot lunch and later proceed to drive back to Kigali international Airport.
