If you need a mix of gorilla encounters, game viewing, and boat cruise excursions, this seven day Uganda gorilla safari is for you.
It takes you to Bwindi impenetrable national Park, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National park.
On arrival our Safari guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to a hotel in Kampala for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Bwindi
Have morning breakfast. After check out to meet our safari guide and start the drive to Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
It includes a stopover at the Equator for some coffee, snacks, photos and information about the equator. Another stop over is in Mbarara for lunch at Agip motel.
After continue with the Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Haven Lodge, or Buhoma Tented Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla Trek in Bwindi
After morning breakfast transfer up to the park headquarters for a briefing about how to behave while in the Jungle. Thereafter enter into the jungle to search for the mountain gorillas.
Meet these apes and you are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour. See them playing, laughing, feeding and more. After gorilla trek return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After morning breakfast at your lodge, start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector route.
If you are lucky, you will be able to see the popularly known tree climbing lions resting up in the fig tree branches. Dinner and overnight at Ishasha Wilderness Camp, or Njojo Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Ride
Have morning Game drive exposing you to multiple Wildlife species in the Park. This experience takes 2-3 hours and thereafter return to your lodge or Mweya canteen for lunch.
Take an afternoon launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. You will see different aquatic species like hippopotamus, crocodiles, water birds and other wild animals including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs and more. After return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Chimp tracking in Kyambura – Drive to Lake Mburo
After breakfast, go for amazing chimp trekking in Kyambura gorge. While in the Jungle for Chimps you are exposed to other Wildlife species. After return to lodge for lunch.
Later check out for a drive to Lake Mburo National Park. This protected area is liked for its wide range of Wildlife species such as Elands, Impalas, Zebras, sitatungas, African fin foot, birds and more.
Once there you will do an evening boat ride along the eastern banks of Lake Mburo to see swamp birds, crocodiles and hippos, animal salt-licks and sun set. Stay at Mihingo Lodge, Rwakobo Lodge or Mburo Eagle’s Nest Camp.
Day 6: Full day in Lake Mburo National Park
Have a morning game drive after breakfast.
It offer spectacular views of Wild animals like zebras, water bucks, bush bucks, slender mongoose, buffalo, elands, warthogs, bush rat and impalas along with various bird species.
After lunch at the lakeside restaurant, walk with a ranger guide across the wooden observation platforms of the salt lick area where wildlife gather to lick the salty soil. After return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Drive back to Entebbe
Have morning breakfast. After do a morning drive as you get out of the park to join the main highway to Kampala.
You can have lunch in Kampala, visit the bank for money withdraw and craft centres to buy some souvenirs. After drive up to Entebbe airport for your departure flight.
