Day 1: Arrival –Goma.
You will be picked from Goma airport or your hotel by the company guide and drive you to the Mikeno sector. Dinner and overnight at Mikeno lodge.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla tracking. (Visit the Sekenkwe gorilla Orphanage)
This is the most rewarding day of this safari. Very early in the morning, after breakfast head for the mountain gorilla tracking in the Virunga national park. After the briefing from the authority of the park, set off for the memorable gorilla tracking adventure in the tropical rain forest searching for the habituated gorilla family. This adventure takes a full hour observing and photographing them. After, descend back to your lodge, in the evening visit the Sekenkwe gorilla orphanage, just few meters from Mikeno lodge. Day 3: Nyiragongo Hike
Very early in the morning, you will gather at the park headquarter for briefing and after climb Nyiragongo. It is Nyiragongo is a beautiful strato volcano that features the world’s largest lava lake. The volcano’s forested lower slopes are home to a variety of animals, including chimpanzees, monkeys, and bushbuck. Nyiragongo’s summit rim is largely devoid of vegetation and is frequently dusted with snow. From the rim, visitors can peer down into achurning Lava Lake and see and hear hot gases exploding up though a mosaic of molten lava. Although predictable and therefore safe for tourists. Dinner and Overnight at the summit.
Day 4: Descend back to Goma airport and departure.
In the morning, you will Descend Back and then drive you back to Goma airport for your flight back home.
